It's usual for the Dell BIOS application to crash and you being unable to boot after a restart. The screen is black and sometimes there is a beep sound, sometimes no. Here is the solution:
1) Download the appropriate bios update file for your laptop from dell website. like R287999.exe
2) Extract and rename the file samosa11.rom to BIOS.wph
3) Download http://www.4shared.com/file/Iafovk5D/Dell_Crisis_BIOS_Recovery.html
4) Extract files with winrar
5) Insert a pendrive. Run Wincris.exe
6) Click Start after selecting the pendrive in the menu.
7) Once done, remove pendrive. close wincris. And insert pendrive again.
8) Copy the file BIOS.wph in the step 2 to the pendrive and click replace.
9) Insert the pendrive into the usb of the dell machine.
10) Remove powercable and battery.
11) Connect only the power cable.
12) Hold down "end" key till the laptop starts and beeps once.
13) Leave it on as you hear a series of different beeps.
14) A few minutes and your system should boot into windows.
15) Hope it worked. :)
